Why are muslims attacked in palestine when they're practially defenseless? The usa are supporting jews with weapons while mulims they're only have rocks

I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel ref the Palestine question.

I have been to this region many times and the anger and violence towards each nationality is neverending.

There is too much history of violence for one side or the other to say lets forget the past and look to the future.

However, there are a surprisingly large amount of the younger population on both sides that want to just see an end to the bloodshed.

The problem is as I see it that the Palestinians have traditionally lived in 'Palestine' for 100's of years but the Israeli's claim that it is their right to live there as it was given to them by God.

The Palestinians want part or all of Jerusalem as the capital to their own state and I can see no way on earth that Israel will ever agree to this.

And what about the Righ to Return to Israel/Palestine for the thousands of Palestinians that have been driven out into other countries during the years of violence.

A peasant army is no match for the military might of Israel (which include nuclear weapons) with the almost unlimited support from the US government and rich Jews living around the world.

All they can do is wage a war of attrition hoping to gradually wear down the Israeli government at the terrible loss of their own people.

Any Israeli government that compromises too much with the Palestinians will quickly find themselves forced out of power by their own people.

I really dont know, maybe the US should threaten to withdraw all financial, military and economic support until the Israeli's put forward a peace plan that the Palestinians could at least seriously consider and that would have to include no more Jewish settlements in disputed territory and the removal of existing settlements from the same areas.

I live in Britain and could never imagine peace in Northern Ireland in my time but I was happily proved wrong.

Maybe the ex-terrorist Jerry Adams and his IRA mates could give the Israeli's and the Palestinians a few tips on how to work towards peace.

I am not anti Jew or anti Palestinian. I am Pro-peace but do accept that military force is SOMETIMES required to achieve this.

the muslim palestinians are anything but defenseless- they have been launching missiles into israel for quite a while now- they are quite well armed actually with quite a bit more than rocks and bottles.

nearly every time they reach a peaceful agreement some palestinian group breaks the treaty and begins targeting israeli civilians- which brings down the wrath of the israeli military.

I think they should just be left to fight it out and deal with it themselves.

both sides are wrong. the land should be shared...peacefully.

if you consider AK47's, RPG's, and IED's rocks then you need help. look up Hamas on a search engine its a palastinean paramilitary organization that has been launching missile into Israel for quite some time.

if you ask me Israel does not need US support at all. they have a very powerful army but it seems that the paramilitary or peasant army is never ending. their history and religion preaches hate to Jews. both sides holy book states that the holy land is theirs and theirs only. in a situation like this I fear that unless the israeli government is overthrown or loses support this is a neverendign conflict. Religion is a powerful force and a frightening force in modern warfare.
