Why are girls growing up so fast these days?

Why are girls growing up so fast? Wearing make-up at the age of 10, Having sex at 12, Dating guys at 9, Cussing at 6. What is with them? Don't they know they have their whole lives ahead of them? My cousin is 13 and she is like overly obsessed with guys, she wears make-up, she causes drama, she cusses but she won't listen to anything I have to tell her.

It's a direct reflection of the environment they are in and the adults they have to look up to.

Actually, it's the exact opposite. My dad told me back in the 70's, people used to have sex at 14 on average, get married at 16, and do drugs on top of it. These days, people save their viginity to about 18 or 19, and don't do drugs as much.

maybe todays girls are normal and girls in the 80's and 90's were just slow.

To be honest it depends on the people you hang round with and/or the area that you live in. It's the same for most decades. Yes in the old, OLD days most people had sex older purely because most people were religous and therefore believed in no sex before marriage, but then again they were getting married as young as 13 in thoose days. But since like the 50's? It's been the same as now, people are having sex as young as 12 but the actual average is 17 (according to a durex survey). Also the media has a lot to do with it for around 30's years most people have been exposed to some sort of media. Prehaps your/your cousin is just exposed to a perticularily bad section of modern society and so you have a rather biased perspective?

look at society. now look at commercials on tv. music on the radio. movies in the theaters. its also horomones they feed to cattle. poor adult influences. parents not taking an active participation in their childrens lives. its a lot of things.

I agree wit chu girl. im 17 and still a virgin.but my sis is 14 and she might not be who knows.
