Of coarse they make you do work, what do you think it is? A playground?
They always try their best to get you as educated as they can.
They don't want you growing, having no life, living on the streets, or even worse.
Don't you want to have a good career? Make some money? Seriously... people who drop out of school are idiots. Im sorry, but its the plain, simple truth.
Stay in school 
I'm dropping out after year 11, but I'm going on to college though. The only reason I'm not staying on at my school is because I actually despise it (for many reasons, not just for the fact that its a school).
I find it ridiculous and boring because we learn all this crap about stuff we're never ever going to use most of the time.
