Is anyone passionate or an activist?

go to axisofjustice.org Asked by vultureofculture 3 months ago, 12 answers.

If anyone is an activist (or soon-to-be activist) or if you just are passionate about certain issues like:
Genocide
Public media censorship
Treatment of shelter residents(if you dont get it ask me to put a comment up about it)
The war (in case some have forgotten that soldiers are getting screwed)
...or if you are just a little suspicious as to whats going on,
Im putting up a spot to discuss this (here)

Again if you want to talk about this more thoroughly, just fun-mail me (or I can give you my gmail thing)

Send this to a friend

I stopped getting tempted by activism by my mid-twenties. I had then realized that you do more for life with love than with haste.

I think that unfortunately hasty actions have no choice but to be more powerful than loving words
considering the circumstances

I'm totally with you. it scares me how many people are in pain and living in un-imaginable conditions. I'm going into high school next year and hope to get involved in several different groups that work on things like that. I also want to be part of either the Peace Core or the U.N. (although I'm not sure how you pull off getting into the U.N.)

Activism is one thing, commitment is another. Difference is that commitment avoids the paradox which is to hate those who hate.

me too
congrats on finding your place in ways toward the cure
oh and to any of you that say that we should take care of ourselves first:
you know 'poverty' here
is like 'royalty' in places like darfur (thats just an obvious example there are MANY more)

this is true:
americans spend about 10% of their income on food
africans,for example:a whopping 80%

youre telling me we have ways to play guitar hero against peoplein other countries
but we cant give our fellow humans who are simple victims of circumstance
a little of our surplus?!
