Who likes bob dylan?

I have recently started to like Bob Dylan. He mostly started his career in the 60's. I've asked a couple of people and most of them say they don't like him or his music. Some of them see Dylan as having 'a whiny, raspy voice.' His voice doesn't bother me, but his music is true poetry. What do you think about him?

I for one. Dylan's lyric composition is phenomenal - he paints images with his words that few other artists can approach. He is an icon in the early folk movement, and has continued to expand his horizons and visions over the years. Generations rediscover Dylan all over again. He will likely remain one of the most remembered songwriters of the twentieth century.
