Who has suffered from braces ?

I am right now and it sucks every time they put a tighter wire. =[

I have to get braces soon. How long do you usually have them on for??

It';s not the end of the world. I had them on for a year and a half, then they put behind the teeth gold wire braces for the stubborn theeth that didn't want to stay in place and I'm good. I've had the behind the teeth one ever since an I can't even feel them, even though they're only on the top 2 and bottom 4 of my teeth. But I ddidn't have to wear that nasty azz and annoying retainter after I got them off!!

I had them in highschool - I actually miss them. I thought they were cute when I had them.

OMG IM GETTING BRACES TOO!!! IT USUALLY DEPENDS ON HOW BAD your TEETH ARE. LIKE MY DENTIST SAID I MIGHT HAVE THEM FOR 4-5 YEARS!!!

I just got mine off like in august! so smooth

I have them on; I got them on in the 5th grade and currently in the 7th and they still remain on my teeth.

I just got mine on 6 days ago, Only the bottom teeth so far. I get the top ones in March, they only really hurt when I eat, it's just a constant strain on my teeth, and my mouth is all cut up from them too. They're sharper than they look.

Does it really bother you? It don't really bother me that bad like find me crazy or not but it actually makes my teeth feel more secure ! Lol. But, The best you can do is eat cold or whatever you like.. I used orajel when I first got mine and that helped A LOT. I used the baby Orejel I think?
But think of this, when you get them off, you will have gorgeous teeth. People will envy them

they hurt like hell.

blah. I just got a space in the top of my mouth...
it hurts really bad I get my tops.. in like 6 weeks and my bottoms a month or two after soo...
