Whey protein
I'm vegetarian, mostly vegan, so I don't get quite all of the recommended protein/calcium, but I try to take a multivitamin. Anyway, whenever I run (which I'll be doing daily) I get a bad pain in my hipbone (the one on your stomach) and tear leg muscles...
really sore.
My running buddy told me about protein, but I've heard a lot about how females shouldn't take it because it makes you gain weight.
Is this true?
Also, if it doesn't, then how much/when should I take it? (before or after workout?)
