Where to find appropriate eyeshadow for 45+ women?

Almost every eyeshadow in the drug stores (all I can afford right now) are shiny. Is some shine appropriate and what colors are best? I just bought mauve, purples and greens. Was that a mistake? Thanks

What colour are your eyes?

If they're of a brown or green shade, those colours are perfect for you, and a little shimmer is fine, just avoid the excessively sparkly white shimmers.

for an older woman greens and purples honestly just make you look older
go for stuble colors shimmery brows creamy whites and if you can pull of light gold that always opens eyes up for older wemon
expecialy if there are crows feet entering the mix]
