When to douche ?

How old should you be when you douche and is it health? And can you do it while your pregnant. And what if the smell dont go away

I read that its not good to douche.
I was reading an article the other day. Your vagina cleans out itself, and if you douche it ruins the process. Could be false, but it makes sense to me,

It's always surprising to me when they allow harmful products to stay on the shelves. A woman should never use a douche unless it is prescribed by a doctor. These wash away all the good things that keep a woman healthy. Our bodies are wonderful at quality control. When you are pregnant it would be a very dangerous thing to do...don't even think it. If you are experiencing an odour then you may have some type of infection. A douche would spread this infection and this would be very dangerous...if pregnant this could be life threatening to a unborn. See a doctor ASAP, for testing and perhaps all it takes is a quick visit to have it all cleared up.
