What age were yu when you first had sex and was it what you expected?

I was 17 years old when I lost my virginity.
I was the last of all my friends.
I was abroad with my friends, got very drunk and ended up losing my virginity to a 21 year old stranger.
It was NOT what I expected, everyone said it didn't hurt, and that they didn't bleed and that it was pleasurable.
I, however, was in the most unbearable pain and have never seen so much blood in my life.
But don't panic, it's different for each girl.
Some girls don't bleed or find it painful and if you have a nasty first experience you'll find it hard to believe that sex gets better, but it does.
You should wait until you are definately, definately ready.
Don't give in to pressure like I did, I really regret it now.
Wait until you're with a guy you are completely comfortable with, wait until you understand sex fully.
And please please please! Get up to date and do some research on contraception and STI's before you start having sex as I was a silly girl and ended up with Chlamydia. It's gone now, panic over, but it was scary stuff.
