When can i start my birthcontrol pills?

I just got my birthcontrol pills.. I need help.
They told me to take it the first day of my period. Then my aunt told me its the last day that I have to take it and my other aunt said it didnt matter. Can someone help me? When can I take it? Im not on...

my period and I will not get my period in a month and I really need to start taking them. Also on the instructions it says first sundayy.. What does it mean? Please help.

no but my mom is.. I just dont want to tell her I have the pills bec my aunt was the one who went with me to the doctor.. also my aunt was on the pills..

Listen to the DOCTOR. Not all pills are the same. Take them the way the doctor instructed you to.

You take them starting the first day of your period, as instructed. Your leaflet that came with the pills should also tell you how to use it. But don't listen to your aunt, rather listen to the person who gave you the pills to start with.

Usually you take it the first Sunday of your period, even if that is the first day your period starts. As long as you take it everyday at the same time you will be fine it doesn't really matter what day you start as long as you start it right around your period.

And don't listen to hopinkpensatemybaby. Women have been taking birth control pills with hormones since the 1960's, if there were serious issues we would have seen them by now because women have been taking them for 40 years. The only issues are if you are a smoker because it could enhance the effects of blood problems caused by smoking. Birth control doesn't cause death, smoking does.

You have NO IDEA what you are talking about do you? Birth control CAN CAUSE strokes, but only if you suffer from high blood pressure or are a smoker. The majority of women do not have any issues with the pill.
