Whats wrong with my computer moniter?

Sometimes [[like right now]] you can see light horizontal lines across my computer.you cna still see the website your on and whatever,but theres lines across the screen,and its driving me crazy.I thiugh it was that my coputer was over heated,because I...

almost never turn it off,so I left it off all night.it seemed to be better,but now its all lined again.
Whats wrong wiht it?

dead pixel frame or monitor is going out either or, one of my friends laptops got a pxel line across his screen that went out, so for like 2 months he had to deal with a line right in the middle of his screen till he sent it in to get fixed.

But if its just now and then and not ALL THE TIME its prob monitor going out, or a loose wire.
