Whats with "emo"

Why would anyone label themselves that? Dont they realize they are hurting themselves by labeling themselves. And seriously they shouldnt make light of cutting themselves just to fit is, anyones opinions?

emo has nothing to do with cutting
self-harm is self-harm.

as jaslovestoskate says cutting is an entirly different subject...emo stands for emotional which is a form of music, also know a genre (style)...there is nothing wrong with calling yourself emo, the only thing that is wrong is the st*pid people who miss interpret what it means and stands for...

Emo means people are more emotional and they're proud to show it! Very few cut themselves and that is toatally diff subject! The best people to make friends w/ are them b/c they are not fake and always tell you how they feel! So to all the people proud to say that theyre emo's ROCK ON! or PUNK ON?xoxo
