Whats up with this?

I work at a place that I am relatively sought out for advice and people appear or seem to respect me my question is , this certain individual seem to entemate hidden agendas where there are none? For instance I had a discussion with a male worker about...

his insensitive remark to me and then a girl came in the office screaming we are an item. what does this mean and she always does this? Oh I am happily married and could not be happier.

Not too uncommon for a workplace....you'll run into many types....maybe she did this for attention or secretly likes the guy or dislikes you...who knows !?....It's in her head and not true so don't sweat it....you might also run into: 1) the one who knows everything.... 2) no matter what story you tell, they HAVE to top it ! ... 3) tells you what a good job you're doing, but reporting to the boss the opposite....HANG IN THERE !

What she really means and why does she do this ?....only she knows

Sometimes people do strange things for attention. The direct approach is my favorite. Go to her and tell her that you don't appreciate the comments. If she won't listen then threaten her accordingly with some sort of harm.
