If you adjust the settings (eg, make sure that the WEP or WEPA security settings are enabled) then you should be all set. Some routers aren't configured out of the box with a secured wireless network setup, so you have to adjust for it. This might solve the problem so you don't have to buy a new one, too. Good luck.

Myself, I'd probably trust what Yahoo! Shopping has to say about routers here http://shopping.yahoo.com/s:Routers - the results have this bit that says Sort by: Top Results so my guess is they have something that says one's better than the next.
Previously, I had a linksys router which was great - my netgear one isn't nearly as good, thinking of going back.

Whats the best wireless router?
I bought a wireless modem but it doesn't work very well. I can't connect in every room of my house ... is there a way to extend the range or make the signal stronger or should I look into getting a new router?
