If you're into rock...don't go for the new stuff.
It's all crappy and depressing.
Music is like food. It feeds your mind. Feed it depression, you will be depressed. Feed it screams, you will be angry.
I advise classic rock. I agree with you, I despise girly stuff too but I also despise screamo and such. Classic rock is PERECT in my opinion. I have been listening to it for over two years and no other type of music interests me at this point.
