Whats hammersmith london like? lamda?

I live in california and want to attend lamda but im a little affraid to make the jump.
I heard they dont like americans and that their crima rate is really high.
Im not sure what to expect but im sure ill get lost like 2391203493204 times.
Someone...

told me it would be like the movie hostel..lol.. Scary!

Although I was born in Northern Ireland, from the age of 5 to 8 I lived near London. It's quite a nice place. I've been through, Piccadilly Circus, Hampton Court, Trafalgar Square, St. James' Park and Buckingham Palace. It's brilliant. There's loads of places to shop, museums, galleries castles, London Bridge, The Houses of Parliament, the London Eye ... there's loads of stuff in London worth seeing. But as far as I know, I've never heard of a London version of Hostel. I come from Britain, but I don't fear or hate anyone from other countries, even though they're different (after all, everyone's different). Sure there are a few homeless people and you have to be careful no one spikes your drink with drugs in a nightclub. But it's not really that bad. There are some good people living in London. British people also have a good police force who do their best to keep the country safe. Some of us are as scared of going to America as you are of coming into Britain. In the end, it's your own decision. If you'll be going with someone you know, you would be quite safe. Some fears have to be confronted before they go away.
