Advil IS ibuprofen.
Follow directions and do not over dose yourself Pwincess. I did and I screwed up my stomach.

PS. If these are migraine headaches, there are many prescriptions that are more affective than any over the counter meds. But they are only given for MIGRAINE headaches.

All three are good for a headache, but everyone's different. One kind might work great for one person and another work better for someone else.
Actually, Advil is a brand of ibuprofen (as bimjob said). It's a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Tylenol is good for a headache as well and I use it when I have a fever. If I'm not mistaken, some people may get an upset stomach with it though. I'd do research on that first. It would be best to stay away from Tylenol (long-term use) if you have Liver problems.

I recommend Excedrine for Migraine's.
I suffer from Migrain's and its the only thing that works for me

Advil works quick time for me!! though I've found a healtier solution... I dunno if you have a The Body Shop at a mall near you, but they have these little bottles of aromatherapy for migraines!! you rub it on your temples and vola!! you feel oh so better!! happy 3
