It depends on the person... I think it's actually a bit disrespectful but that's not what I call him. I just simply call him Jesus. Some people might think its no big deal and some might think its horrible... and some may be like me and just think its kinda immature. But that's just my opinion.

Personally I think religion is harmfull and would like to see it make illegal. I am rather fed up with people feeling that they have to show respect to such rediculous stuff.

I remember thinking it was disrespectful of people to refer to Jesus Christ as 'J.C.' But now all my Christian friends do it.

I suppose Jeezy Chreezy is more disrespectful than J.C., but what can you do about it, right?

All of the above... And it is also a sign of the times... Hollywood, and the music industry are very into.. finding newer and better ways to mock anything to do with Christianity... We might as well get used to it.. it is here to stay, until God decides hes had enough... and that will be that...Perlious times... the beginings of sorrows... men will be lovers of themselves, instead of lovers of God, you will be hated of all nations, for my namesake, many will be offended and will betray one another, and will hate one another, many false prophets will rise and deceive many, lawlessness will abound, and the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end, will be saved. Matt. 24. Everything that is thought to be holy, is being defamed, and will only get worse and worse... People are sealing their own fate, and don't even realize it. The day will come when they will regret their hateful attitudes, but, it may come too late. The bible talks about a day when mens hearts will faint for what they see coming upon the earth, and they will cry for the rocks to fall on them, that they may die... If you look around very long online, you will find hopelessness, and depression... and suicidal tendencies... abounding... multitudes... without hope... nothing to turn to, no one to believe in... because they have bought the lie.. that there is no God... and they have set themselves up... as God.. of their own lives.. to find out... that they are no god at all... they do not have the answers... when their idols fall... what do they cling to then? What can they find hope in. They are trusting in themselves.. to save themselves... from what.. they don't even know...They have no faith... they are godless... without God... like in the days of Noah... only 8 people were saved... the bible says that the way is narrow, and few there are, that find it.. most do not want anyone over them.. they want to do what they want to do, when they want to do it, and how... and woe unto the man that tries to tell them any differently... they turn on him and rend him... cut him up and spit him out... We are just about to the place where anything that we would try to share is to throw our pearls before swine.

The answer is in question form. Do we like it when people misuse our name?

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 03, 2007, 08:15PM

>>>Do we like it when people misuse our name?

To be honest I don't really care. I make fun of other people a lot, so I expect to be made fun of in return. Sometimes I make fun of myself - whatever works. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

Although there is something called freedom of religion, there is also freedom of speech. If you don't like what you're hearing, you can choose not to listen. Unless you're being physically harmed for having certain beliefs... you'll live.

I have had my share of defending both Christians and non-Christians, and I guess when it comes down to it, what bother me are arrogance, self-righteousness, and obnoxiousness. Both Christians and non-Christians can be guilty of those - religion has nothing to do with it.

* SIGH *

I would say NO. It's not...

And I KNOW it's not, because I'M the one that's been using the term 'Jeezy Chreezy' on this site. I already said it was just a nickname, with no derogatory meaning. The fact that thumper decided to post a thread about it (just because it was ME who said it), is truly pathetic; and this only reinforces my standpoint regarding the growing problem of unfounded pretentiousness in the Christian community.

Repent amblessed! For your Lord frowns upon your futile attempts to create controversy!

calling Jesus jeezy chreezy is very Very disrespectful! also who the heck would be stupid enough to call someone who died on the cross for you Mr. Jeezybread?dude you better ask God for forgiveness cause when it comes time for judgment day, all I have to say is watch out. but I'm not going to start judging

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 05, 2007, 10:41PM

Its 'JeezyBEARD' ...not BREAD.

Try to focus really hard in a non-idiotic way for once: Do you REALLY think (hypethetically) an ultimate being, creator of all that is, was, and shall come to pass; would be so uptight & sensitive, as to get his 'divine etherial panties' in a bunch, over a silly nickname? Seriously?

this is the WORST topic ever.
I don't think he would care WHAT you call him- as long as it doesn't follow with an insult
SERIOUSLY.

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 06, 2007, 09:40AM

You said it was a 'dis' ...I already said in the very beginning that it had NO DEROGATORY meaning. Just because all you 'uptighties' think its disrespectful, doesn't mean that God would agree with you.

Actually, I'm certain that God would disagree with you on MANY MANY things.

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 06, 2007, 02:14PM

Oh, and you need to take a Math class too, because there are way more NON-Christians, than Christians. So you're outnumbered, and the pity-party is OFF THE HOOK!

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 07, 2007, 09:27AM

Ahh... so now EVERYONE who isn't Christian is crazy & sick & satanic? Or is it just me?

Oh and your wishing for bad things to happen to me, and hoping you get to see it; just proves your faith is juvenile. You defy your own god by passing judgement, name-calling and wishing negative things on others. According to YOUR religion, that duty lies with God and God alone. You are out of your boundaries by even SPEAKING about it.

Your way of thinking is outdated, narrowminded, and ultimately IDIOTIC. When you yelled, 'I rebuke you in the name of Jesus' and '...take your satanic behind back to the pits of Hell from wince you came.' You lost ALL credibility as a Christian. (and I'm not Satanic, I don't belive in Satan.) You just ASSUMED it (yet another classic zealous f*ck-up)

Thankfully, there are other Christians out there who's respective faiths have grown waaay beyond insecurity. You have a lot to learn. I don't know if you found religion late in life, or you're just lacking in intellect, or BOTH; but your views are very VERY childish.

Captain... you have provoked the Christians on this board, by your continual flow of negativity... and I rebuke you for it... I apply the blood of Jesus against you... you may know the word, but, you surely don't know the God behind the word... and he says that we have the power to retain the sins of whosoever we will... and we hold this against you... you have intentionally flaunted yourself, over and over... with malice a forethought... you have nothing in you but bitterness and hatred... you are here for one thing and one thing alone, and that is to thwart the plans of God, to taunt the people of God, and I am asking God to remove you from our presence... smoke that in your pipe... we will see who has the last say... Paul put up with the woman that had a spirit of divination for a long time.. and I wondered why he did this... but, I think that the reasons were clear.. he had the love of God in his heart... and God does not desire that any should perish, but, that all should come to him for forgiveness and salvation... you have no desire for this whatsoever.. nor do your cohorts... that applaud you... why don't you all make your own message... it is available to you... we don't want you here... take your scummy ideas with you, and let some fresh air into this place.. it needs to be fumigated... you are despicable. and take Filet with you.. he is your brother... the line is drawn in the sand... you and yours are on one side, and we are on the other... we have the power to rebuke every word that rises against us in judgement... this is our heritage... you have no power, except for what Satan gives you.. and God is the Alpha and Omega.. not Satan... you are just one of his minions... and the Lake of Fire fast approaches...WE are the servants of the Most High... and our righteousness is of him...WE have a right to be here, sharing faith, and defending the faith, you sir... are on intruder... you are standing on holy ground... and the only reason that God does not stike you down, is because it is not time yet...

no everyone who isn't a Christian isn't crazy, sick, or satanic it's just their choice whether or not they want to believe in God. and no captain assassin nobody wishes anything bad to happen to you. the 'duty' is Gods to work with because He says for us to put our faith in Him and to trust Him even though we might not understand His ways but He knows what He's doing. and your wrong about jesusdeciple his/her views are NOT childish it's just he/she is very VERY strong in their faith and won't tolerate ANY kind of bad talk about God and is quick to defend Him at any given moment and I for one respect anyone who loves God that much.

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 07, 2007, 09:55PM

Well, the best part is:

I've never talked bad about God, I've only been blunt & critical (like I am about everything) about THEIR distorted view of Christianity. They want to assume that anyone with an opinion that differs from theirs is negative, and hateful. When it is THEY who've been spouting zealous damnations towards me (which is the equivalent of 'holy cussing').

The hardest thing for them to accept, is that a non-believer knows MORE about their religion, than they do. They can thump their bibles all they want, but if they don't understand the content, then they ultimately have NOTHING valid to say...

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 07, 2007, 09:59PM

...and yes. They're childish.

'...smoke that in your pipe...' 'SNAKE, SNAKE, SNAKE'

...and stupid.

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 08, 2007, 09:39AM

You just proved my point... again.

So where in Christianity, does it say that Satan has 'assassins' eh? Did you just make that up on the fly? Along with a few other big words you couldn't spell right?

Besides, this site is MADE for giving advice, I'm doing my duty as a member. Just because your vision is largely blocked by that big ankle you hide behind, doesn't make my advice any less right. You've made NO attempts to correct me, because you CAN'T. You think that just because my views oppose yours, and I can support mine BETTER than you can; that makes me 'da debbul.'

You're a complete fool, you've degenerated your 'beloved faith' to nothing more than the ability to annoy people. Its truly pathetic, and luckily for Christianity, and for mankind, your way of thinking is slowly dying off.

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 08, 2007, 09:52AM

Oh, and God never said, 'Love one and hate the other. You can not serve two masters' ...that was Jesus. And he was referring to 'wealth & greed' ...not Satan.

DEBO

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Oct 08, 2007, 03:49PM

That's ALL you've been doing... FIGHTING. And you've still made NO valid argument. The Bible says NOTHING about 'satanic assassins', so whatever book you DO have (Dr. Seuss, coloring book, whatever) is IRRELEVANT.

And NOW you've proven yourself to be a living DOUBLE STANDARD.

Bickering with me over subjects you know LITTLE about, is only showing your ignorance, arrogance, and immaturity. So the ONLY thing you can do at this point, is stop talking. Or just bicker with someone who is as inferior as you.

This has run it's course...let's all remember, no matter what religion you are:

'god' wants you to love & respect your fellow human beings. Even if you lack religion, you should show some respect, and for those that don't think for themselves, compassion.

For as Plato wrote in the parable of the cave, those that have seen the light, can't explain it to those who live in darkness, because those who have seen the light appear insane Good book, I'd suggest you read it.
