How can deaf and blind people be mistreated?

im working on another assignment yet again lol and was wondering if anyone can give me ideas on how a deaf and blind individual can be mistreated. I've'e already mentioned being spoken to loudly which may intimidate teh individual if they can slightly...

hear with teh use of hearing aids, what other ways are there of treating someone inequally?

please help asap...thanks

mistreated...when they are institutionalized? This should be obvious with inappropriate meals, bedding, hygiene etc. Out in public I'm sure they would have a leader with them but not given proper change when paying for something, people making faces at them??? Not quite sure what you are looking for.

Not wanting to give the patience and time it takes to get to understand one of them. I think that is an injustice. I had to work for a major bank on the phone and we had to give them the TDD line because they would tie up our talk time (time frame allowed) per person that we were to go by. In other words We don't have time for you. I had a couple of TDD calls where they insisted I talk to them and I did and boy did I catch a fury over that. If we don't understand them we think we can just ignore them too. That is an almost given case of mistreatment. No one takes time out of their busy schedule to help a blind person or even acknowledge them in saying hello. We treat them as if the were diseased.
