I really don't know him that well and im trying to avoid talkin about my self - what should we talk about?

what he plans to do after school
what his family is like
where he works...

you could play the question game forever until you both have something in common,.

ask him questions that you want to know about him. or just ask him random questions and it may be wierd but hey its only a suggestion you know lol. if you got them in common, then dont forget to mention you have it in common too!
