I've been there and done that. What u should do is go ahead and choose a few things that u wish 2 keep for sentimental reasons and pictures u would like to have. Allow any siblings to do the same and anything u decide not to keep u may find someone who can use it or find a chairity u can donate to. I recommend ur local rescue mission for any clothing and possibly furniture because these items will go to people that really need them.

What do i do with my parent's belongings when they die?
my parents are getting really old and they have lots of stuff in their new home. now alot of it i like and have fond memories of like pictures and things that are representative of their love and their children (me,etc). also some of it is pretty...
expensive stuff as well that of course could be auctioned. the point is this is so much anxiety to deal with. even if i asked them i don't think it would override the anxiety of whether i should keep it (even in storage) as i travel alot and plant to travel more when they pass away. i am sure somebody has been in this boat before.
thanks
