What is it with breed issues?

In todays world why are people still stuck on pedigrees...
Why are we not proud of our own indian breed dogs?

There is an appreciation for ALL dog breeds. I fell in love with a Spaniel over 20 years ago and I dedicated myself to the breed. That does not mean I do not love all dogs, one of the best dogs I ever had was a Shepard/Husky/Chow mix that I rescued from an abusive neighbor. He lived with us for 7 years and we recently had to put him down. But the point I am trying to make is that all dogs are dogs whether purebred or mixed breed and there is a place for all of them. Breeds have inherant characteristics that are very predictable in breeding lines. That is why some of us have chosen a breed to dedicate ourselves to. There is a place for purebreds and it is an important place.

Are indian breed dogs, mutts?

I've had mutts and purebreds...I've been proud of them all...because they had ALL been very GOOD dogs.
