What should I get him?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years hes 20 and im 17, and I never know what to get him for Christmas/birthdays.. he's so picky! I cant buy him clothes, because he never likes them.. [he only wears dark colors] and I dont know what he likes! He's a big pot head [I wish he wasnt.. but thats not something I can change =/] and his favorite band is Tool.. any ideas?
