What if my backstabbing friend stole my guy?

I think I LOVE this guy...he always flirts with me in class..and he asks me to hold his hand and stuff...my friend told me that he said that if I liked him..he would like me back...but my B*TCHY BACKSTABBING friend told him that she liked him...that B*TCHY friend is the girl that he USED to like..so since she said that..she told him that she liked him so he wouldnt like me...but she actually doesnt like him...but now he likes HER...what should I do?

wow. I was in a situation exactly like this around march or april. (im a sophmore in high school btw) my advice, forget about him. I know, I know it sounds absolutly harsh, but TRUST me, you cant change the way a guy feels about a girl hes still hung over on, your "friend" doesnt sound like a very trustworthy person. but look at it this way, if that guy does ask her out or something, she might say yes, but she wont be happy, because she doesnt actually like him, karma is a b*tch. if he doesnt like you now, forget about him, he doesnt deserve you, it will save you a LOT of anger, tears and heart break.

Its takes more than hand holding and flirting to fall in love but I'd forget him and forget her. This other girl is thinking 'I don't want him but I don't want anyone else to have him' or maybe she's just jealous of you.

Forget about the pair of them and move on. If he liked you then he would have let you know. You're wasting your emotions here, but you will find someone better.

okay well my friend did the same thing numerous times. I confronted her about it and all but she never changed. but thats besides the point. the first thing you need to do is confront her. sit her down and tell her how it made you feel. and if she doesnt apologize and/or change her ways, I guess she really isnt much of a friend.
it sucks but theres nothing more you can do.
