What if this boy always picks on me?

This boy at school ALWAYS picks on me. Some of the other people at school say that he likes me... but I'm not TOTALLY sure. He ignores me when hes with his friends and flirts with other girls. But, he talks to me everyday and is on my IM list. I don't know if he likes me. If you'd think so.. I'm kinda afraid hes going to say no if I ask him out.. or should I wait longer to see if he does?

I dealt with a similiar problem in middle school. If I were you, I'd just wait it out awhile, while being friendly toward him, to see if he changes over time or keeps on doing it. He may like you and pick on you out of insecurity, or maybe he's just immature. If he keeps picking on you for a while longer, I'd say it'd be the second one, but if he stops or does it less often, then there's a possible attraction...
