What's your view on tattoos and piercings?

Today my parents got in a heated discussion with each other. My dad said that tattoos are trashy and he calls them tramp stamps. This made my mom mad because she has a tattoo. My dad has always told me and my sister that if we got a tattoo we would be...

living on the streets. Then we moved onto piercings. I have two in each ear and I want more. Again my dad said when I have a place to live because I can do what I want to. He said that when a guy has a piercing he's gay and when a girl has more than 2 then she's Wh***. I know it's just his opinion. It's just not fair because my mom has said she would take me for the piercing and she would even sign for a tattoo, but I can't do wither. I just want to know what others views are about these things?

My dad is the same way well not really he just said when I turn 18 I can get it and hes not gonna pay for it or anything
So I was like eff that junk and im rolling out to go get one in a couple of weeks
Just dont get them where EVERYONE can see like get it on your back or neck ankle foot you know
A lot of jobs dont like tattoos

Peircings depending on how old you are. Like im getting my belly button pierced and iam gonna be 17 in september. Facial piercings only look good on some people a lot of ear peircings like 5 just looks trashy to me.

And im pretty sure your dad wont put you on the streets for a piercing or tattoo if your mom takes you I mean your MOM took you come on he would have to put her out too if sooo eff that hoe all of you guys can roll out if hes gonna be a pansie A** hoe

Wow... that's just wrong on so many levels. Don't be offended by this, but your dad seems like a judgemental idiot and that's NOT cool. Piercings and tattoos are simply forms of body art and self expression. They're not trashy/gross/nasrty or anything of the sort. You CAN still if you have piercings/tattoos... if anyone says otherwise, they're wrong. As long as you have you have them done professionally and properly take care of them, they'll be fine and you won't have any issues with them. Most tattoos have a specific meaning to the person who has them. They're not pointless or anything like that. Piercings and tattoos don't make you any more or less attractive than you already are either. Guys and girls BOTH can get ANY piercings that damn well please. If a guy has piercings it DOESN'T make him gay and just because a girl has more than 2 piercings she's not a wh*re. That's got to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Piercings/tattoos have NOTHING to do with your orientation. If I were you, I'd wait until I turned 18 to get any piercing/tattoo I may want. Then he can't say anything because once your 18, your not a minor and can get them without parental consent. I doubt he'd really kick you out of the house just because you got one and if he did then he's pretty sad and needs a major reality check.
