I have to agree with you on that,I've answered my last fau questions,I need to know who asked it so I can provide better advice but half the fau questions are underage users not wanting to be caught. It's simple,if you don't ask a question without marking it anonymous,I'm pretty sure you'll get answers.
I'll be totally honest,I only mark my questions anonymous if I received a helpful answer or if it's taking up room on my page.
yes but many people might be embarrassed by their question, and want to ask it annonymously so no one knows who they are
true that its usualy easier to answer questions when you know more about them, like there age
its also a good option and allows a lot more questons to be asked
otherwise some people wouldnt bother askng f they had to reveal there identity
But so many of the current fau questions are not questions that have any privacy rational. I think the site has made it too easy to mark questions anonymous.
Also, the askers may not realize that fau (anonymous) Questions and Answers do not count in their total numbers for Questions and Answers on their profile.
Your account is an online personality and some people become defensive over it because really, it is a part of who they are (despite the fact that it is an internet thing). It is easy to feel vulnerable if you ask a question and leave your username up and I think it's a matter of freedom of choice. If people feel a little self-conscious and don't want others to relate the questions they ask to their online persona, then that's perfectly understandable. Seeing as this is a social networking site as well as a 'question and answer', people may not want their online friends to think less of them, etc. It's not really that hard to understand... I think it's good that marking posts as anonymous is easy
.

How come there are so many fau (anonymous) questions lately? Don't they realize that they get fewer responses when they hide behind anonymity? They're already pretty much anonymous behind their user name.
I, for one, answer fewer fau questions...
because you don't have access to their profile which would allow you to provide a better quality answer.
