What's the point of shaving?

Really, what is the point of shaving? To make yourself look beautiful? If we are concentrating on looking pretty, we should be looking at our faces. But, we shouldn't worry about the female exterior or even the male exterior!!
Doesn't the phrase... :...

'Inner beauty is what counts'
or
'The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart.'

...matter? I'm just saying. Please tell me what you think. I've got hairy legs but I'm really pretty (not to be bragging xD ).

Some women, and men, like the feel of having smooth skin. Others, it is a personal preference not to shave because they don't feel the need to. You can do whatever you want, it's your choice.

It's just become our culture. A female with hairy legs is concidered taboo in our society. I can't really imangine not shaving my legs, because that's what I've been taught to do and what every girl around me does. Sure I believe in originality, but not through body hair. I'm sure if girls would have never of started shaving people wouldn't look twice at you for having hairy legs, but at this point in time, and society less hair is viewed as more attractive.

Beauty comes from within, but shaving is just something for pure Comfort, if you are happy with hair then leave it, if not then shave it, its a choice one is given!

It's not only about looking good but it's also about being clean and comfortable.

Thats like saying why should we cut our nails? or cut our hair? If you keep goring your hair or nails it's gross.

I dunno but it may also be about beauty.

I'm pretty, I HATE shaving, yet I feel compelled to do it...I don't know why, we all have hair, it's a pain in the bum to shave (moreso when it grows back!!)

and yet, shockingly, I still shave! not as much as I used to when I was younger, but then, I care less now, I mean, not as if I'm out to impress...however, you won't catch me in a pair of shorts if I haven't shaved for a couple of days!!

but I must say, I shave more now for me, I like that 'silky soft skin' after I have shaved, but is that because I really like it, or becuase I know if my ankle shows in class I'm not thinking 'poop everyone can see my stubbly / hairy legs'!!! lol!

I don't know why I do it, I just do, I am 'expected' to as part of my 'hygiene routine' but I really find it a pain in the bottom and razor blades expensive...

(although I do think shaved legs feel GREAT against my silk pj's!! )

us girls shave because it makes us feel tat much prettier,even if we're already pretty,just,when you think bout it,it's a guy's preference to because if he has his hand on a girl's bare skin on her leg I don't think he'd want to feel hair,he'd rather feel smooth skin,well tat's how I see it and tat's why I shave,hope I helped

beauty does come from within but its sometimes hard to get to that beauty, if there are some not-so-attractive attributes blocking that inner beauty.

but that pretty much raps up mine.

guys dont shave because its an ego thing mor hair = more adult like I don't know

Men, they don't like to have beards. Well, some don't anyway. Some of us don't like to have unwanted hair on ourselves. It enbarasses us especially in the summertime. That's the reason people shave. You can be pretty with smooth skin.

because I like bein silky smooth and not all hairy that's gross in mii opinion but if you dont mind not shaving your legs then its watever floats yur boat..

I prefer to be shaved, because it feels smooth and clean which is just a great feeling.
However as a man people always give me a hard time or think it is weird that I am shaved.

Anyway thats why I like being shaved, not for beauty.

I hate physically having to shave but I love when my legs are all smooth. I like rubbing them together. It makes me giggle... I'm easily ammused

I only do it because I like my legs soft or when im having alone time with my boyfriend because I dont want to be prikly
