What's the point in having a boyfriend?

What's the point in having a boyfriend/ girlfriend?
95% of them end up in break ups anyway... (I dont mean to offend anyone. I just need an explaination, thats all)

Well, I've been together with my boyfriend for a year now, and I reallly love him. I don't think we're breaking up any time soon! My parents were dating in High School and they've been together for 20 years now! (They married after 6 years of dating.)
If you really like a guy, and if he really likes you, it can work out. You have to believe in it though!

I know what you mean because theres so many people out there who go out wiv someone 4 the sake of it and most of th time you no there going to b split up in a few weeks or even days and yes its pathetic. You got to have someone who you think yu could actually get somewere with or you'll just get your heart broken again and again

When your young:

To learn about relationships. To find out the type of person you want to actually be with when you are older. To gain experience with dating and with comprimising with a partner. When your young dating is all about the experience and learning.

When your older:

To have someone there on your side no matter what. To have compassion and love in your life. To have someone there for you when you need them. To have someone to come home too. To build a family with.

I agree with you but it seems like you look on the negative side of things like I do. I think its better this way that way well really be surprized and happy if a relationship does work out longer than we expected you never know so dont give up hope.
