You need to know the exact time and date of your birth, convert the local time to sidereal time, and use an ephemeris to correctly make such determinations.
Try this easier approach: GOOGLE Astrology Program there are free one that will do the math and the donkey work for you.
What you want to construct is called a Natal Chart (At time of Birth)
the other form of Astrology is called Mundane Astrology and is for charts for present, or future days (Date specific) Like your daily horoscope, but not so generalized.
