Why am I always hungry?

Jaden Asked by jadensmommy 9 months ago, 7 answers.

Why am I always hungry? I can't seem to ever get full...and when I do I'm hungry shortly after! I keep losing weight, I can't gain any. This started happening after I had my son 6 months ago. Could this be hyperthyroidism? If you know anything or if this could be what can I do about it. I'm really worried my husband thinks I migh just be getting skinny because I'm breastfeeding but I think it's something else I shouldn't be losing so much I weighed 136 before I had my son and 138 after I had him I only gained 17 lbs during pregnancy I weighed 159 at 9 months pregnant and I'm now 117lbs? please help me out here!

Hi,

I'm thinking you might have a disorder such as an ulcer or Crohn's disease, which can both make you lose weight and feel full after not eating much food. I suggest you go to the doctor or a clinic as soon as you can, to have a professional opinion. Either way, both conditions are treatable, so don't worry yourself into a tizzy.

Are you eating fast food or food that doesn't have any nutrition? No you don't have hyperthyroidism. That also is caused from not eating the right food. It is normal to lose weight after having a child. Start eating food that is not cooked. Raw organic fruit & vegetables, raw nuts, & raw grains. You can juice your veggies & fruit. Raw food is very healthy and when you eat raw you are eating God's Food. The way he intended for us to eat when he gave us our beautiful bodies. Eationg this way you won't be hungry and your child will be eating healthy and won't have diaper rash or the sniffles or colic or any of the other things babies get when they are little. When babies mothers eat raw food, they seldom cry and the babies are more alert and learn a lot faster. Funmail me if you like.

hey jadesmommy - I have the same issue, I thought I'd certainly have resumed some normacly in the hunger dept. by 6 months, I don't even nurse my for every feeding any more but I'm hungry almost ALL the time and don't gain a pound. I too have lost weight down to 117 (from 125 though) and can't quite figure it out. I eat pretty healthfully and make sure I incorporate proteins and the other food groups but doesn't seem to help. let me know if you figure anything out.

Keep eating as much as you can, but also mis 1 pint of half and half w/ 1 pint of chocolate milk, and drink 3 or 4 of these a day. Eat a big snack at bedtime too. How much do you weigh now, as your post was a few months ago?

Oh geez. Well get started on the above-mentioned drinks and after a week or so I'll give you some more tips...this will work, by the way. We'll have you back up to 140...or hopefully a little more than that...soon!

Jade, how tall are you? Being 117 isn't too thin I don't think. Maybe you've lost the weight by being so busy with your new baby. It'll probably settle down after a while.
