This is like the 50th time since Obama took office that amblessed has said this. How many times did he say it about Bush's spending policies?

HOW DARE YOU!!! His paragon Barak Obama should not be subjected to your rabid fox news lies. You have to remember that he is getting on the job training, you can't expect him to get it right the first time. Running the country isn't the same thing as running a charity car wash so just give him some more time. If we could abolish the two term rule he can fix the country in about 50 years. Besides if it gets really bad then we can always throw more money away at the problem.

Obama is ok with me - I do however detest policies that take my country in a socialist direction, way overreaching government, and the Huge piling on of debt my children/grandchildren will be strapped with - you're right, I'm not Sheeple, I don't get a tingle up and down my leg like Chris Matthews, and I don't wet my pants at the mere mention of 'The One's' name, like some of the 'in the tank press' - not the kind of 'Change' I had hoped for - there is none so blind as he who will not see (refuses)...so what month and year ?

I did not realize that President Obama created this economic mess. Silly me, I thought that we were in this mess when Obama took office...Wait, wait...we were...
Obama is having to fix what your President broke.

U.S. unemployment rates under President Bush reached a 14-year high.

George W Bush saw the official unemployment rate increase 71.43% from 4.2 to 7.2. The poverty rate increased 10.62% from 11.3 to 12.5, through 2007. The national average retail price of a gallon of gasoline rose 21.28% from $1.471 to $1.831. The national debt increased 85.55% from $5,727,776,738,304.64 to $10,627,708,753,691.50.

Do you remember the unemployments rates under YOUR FAVORITE Ronald Reagan? They were HIGHER than under Obama...How could that be? Only Democrats are capable of ruining the economy...

1982 - President Reagan - 9.7 % unemployment

1983 - President Reagan - 9.6 % unemployment

Give him a chance...he has only had a few months to try to repair what YOUR President took 8 years to break...

What's the national debt now? I'm sincerely curious, since you seem to have the stats right at your finger tips.

well, amblessed seems to have some stats at his finger tips and asked the question, but since you selected to sincerely ask me...

This is according to the Treasury Department
As of today the National Debt is $11,394,786,528,985.84

National Debt Jan. 19, 2001
(the day BEFORE Bush sworn in)
$5,727,776,738,304.64

The National Debt Jan. 19, 2009
(the day Bush LEFT office)
$10,628,881,485,510.23

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$3.85 billion per day since September 28, 2007.
Since 2007...I did not know that Obama was President in 2007.

Looks like Obama's done in 6 months what bush managed to do in over a year. Yay.

If you are left a national debt of $10,628,881,485,510.23, a debt that was increasing at a rate of $3.85 billion everyday...

you think that daily increase would just halt the day a new administration enters office, especially with a war and the failure of freddie and fannie...?

lol. I used to think you were just stubborn...now I realize it goes a little deeper than that...you are just naturally not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

Howabout you ask a question that DOESN'T involve the acceptance of political LIES beforehand. Why on Earth would you expect people to take you or your questions seriously when you're such a compulsive liar?

Why the HELL does everyone try to blame the countries problems on BUSH?! We're dealing with interdependent problems that have plagued us for the past 2 and 3 decades. The results have just accumulated to the point of people actually noticing.

And Utopia, whether that comment was directed at me or ambleseed, it is out of line.

Then obviously you've never had to deal with any of mine, nor will you ever, if I can help it. This website AND you just aren't worth that much of my time.

And I don't often see many of the conservatives coming in with instigatory remarks. Take note, often. I have noticed many threads out of line just from the beginning, this not being one of them(in my opinion, which you will never hold in any regard), and there are a few people out here that I truly would call right wing who are very...aggressive in their approaches. But the same can be said about your left wing (anti)liberal friends.

Don't worry. Believe it or not, people become more conservative as they grow older. You'd be surprised how many people in their 50s and 60s were liberal at your age. Frankly, things tend to be more stable when people are conservative in their actions, and people realize that as they grow older. I used to always say everything that popped into my head(this is a year, two years ago). But while I still do that, to an extent, I try to choose my battles, and think about what I TRULY want to say, and in a way as to not offend people, because when you offend someone, they go on the defensive, even if they would agree with something that you say after they became offended.
