On my mother's side, my grandfather is Irish and my grandmother is French
On my father's side, my grandfather is English and my grandmother is French.

So, technically, I'm ½ French, ¼ Irish, ¼ English...but...if you want to go back even further you'll also find German, American, and Algonquin.
