What is wrong with this stupid thing?!?!?

Okay my mom gave me her ipod after my little brother broke mine. It's a four gb ipod video. And it has worked perfect up until now. I went to plug it in to the computer this morning and first of all it would'nt even show up in itunes, then 2 when I...

disconnected it, it thinks that it is still connected. now it has been disconnected from the computer for 2 hours and still has that stupid Connected...eject before disconnecting message on it. Does anyone know what to do? Please help... the silence is killing me!!!

YOU HAVE TO RESET IPOD.GO TO APPLE.COM AND LOOK UP HOW TO RESET YOUR GENERATION IPOD.I KNOW ON MINES I HOLD THE MIDDLE AND THE PAUSE BUTTON TOGETHER FOR 5 SECONDS.THEN IT WILL RESET THE IPOD.DONT WORRY ABOUT YOUR MUSIC.YOU WONT LOSE A THING WHEN YOU RESET IT.

Depends on the ipod, mine I have to hold menu and the middle button for like 5 seconds and then it resets ..

I don't know much to be honest with you but mine just the same thing happened to mine! I tried unloading all the songs and it worked mine had too much memory. Try the same thing if you can!
