What is the purpose of a pumice stone?

could someone please tell me what a pumice stone does..

it takes off dead skin from areas like knees elbows and the bottom of your foot.

I USE IT TO CLEAN HARD WATER STAINS ON TOILETS. I HAVE WELL WATER AND IT STAINS REALLY BAD. GOOD LUCK

Agree with all the above - but watch out you don't rub too hard on the skin on your feet - you can take off a living layer of skin and that hurts the next day!
