What is the difference between softball and baseball.

Softball is baseball, but it's not as aggressive...for example, it's a slow pitch instead of a fast one, the ball is larger and the rules differ slightly.

umm take it from an all-star softball player, the ball is bigger in softball and you also pitch different, its harder to pitch softball style because (in fast pitch softball) you do this arm rotation thing and you have to pitch fast underhand, (im not a pitcher but they say its frustrating)

ball is bigger in softball, which means it leaves a bigger bruise. underhand pitching, mound is 43 ft away instead of 60 ft 6 in in baseball. good softball pitchers clock at around 60-70 mph, while baseball is 85-100 mph, but since the softball rubber is closer, there is less reaction time in softball.

oh, and softball bases are 60 ft apart and baseball are 90 ft apart...
