you can tell the difference between a chinese and japanese person from their last names. for example chan is one syllabol(spelled wrong) so that's chinese and hamasaki is four syllabals so that's japanese. if it's one syllabol it's chinese but if it's more than one it's japanese. also another thing is the way they look and what I mean is that one (don't know for sure but bare with me) could have more slanted eyes than the other and the other could have a sharper face
