Animals known as ruminants regurgitate. Simply put they have mor than one stomach. For compeditive reasons they can gobble down their food and then retire to a safe comfortable place and bring up a wad into their mouth to chew on at their leisure. Reverse swallowing is what it actually is. when the food is chewed well they swallow and send it down to the proper stomach. Colt

Regurgitation does not apply to people. Animals only. To be moe specific, ruminants. Cows, sheep, goats , etc. They pig out and eat real fast swallowing their food and sending it to a primary stomach. Then they go and lay down somewhere and bring up a mouthfull at a time [regurgitate] chew it a lot and send it to the regular stomach. Hope this answers your question. Colt.
