Hi candycane248,

There are two OFTCs.

The first is The Open and Free Technology Community. OFTC was founded at the end of 2001 by a group of experienced members of the Open Source and Free Software communities aiming to provide these communities with better communication, development, and support infrastructure.

The second is the Optical Fibre Technology Center, located in Sydney, Australia. OFTC is one of the few centers in the world with state of the art facilities for fabricating specialty optical fiber and components where fibers and fiber devices can be designed and made to custom specifications.
