The site is completely visual and deals with things that people are already looking for. How often have you heard someone in a public place say I love those shoes or where did she get that purse? Like put up a bunch of stars that get press in magazines all the time anyway and identified things on them like their jewelry, dress, shoes, etc, and help you shop for that item. It also breaks down trends to help sell you on what is popular and shows stars wearing them (eg Basic Black Peep-Toe Shoes).
I think that women everywhere will prefer this method of shopping over the traditional shop sites that we have been struggling through for so long. This may not catch the men as much because men are less likely to follow the cutting edge of fashion as much as women.

What is like.com and why would i use it?
My wife was saying she likes www.like.com better than Yahoo Shopping or even Amazon, just based on the look feel. I know a few people over at Riya, the company that launched like.com.
However, I'm not buying it. Having worked in the past for nearly...
two years on a comparison shopping site, it'll take (in my opinion) much more than a slick, slow loading GUI to get people on board the bandwagon. What do you think?
