What is a spindoctor?

SPAM Asked by ilovespam over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

I like the rock group Spindoctors. I am embarrassed to admit I don't know the definition of a spindoctor or what an example of one would be. Anybody?

LOL, a spindoctor is a slang term for a public relations professional, or a PR person. Typically, a spindoctor is somebody who is paid to put the right spin, message or slant to a story (aka PR) to make sure that a company comes out looking good in all situations.

Hope this helped.

One who slants the meaning to his advantage - example: An oversight committe of a company sends a final report with suggestions to a CEO - He has 30 days to respond or take action - He decides to immediately impliment 3 of the suggestions on his own initiative (a good thing).

However the spindoctor will put out the information to His advantage, that this is what happened:
According to anonymous sources - The CEO after recieveing the final report was immediately pressured to impliment 3 of the proposals
