**An ovary is an egg-producing reproductive organ found in the female. (NOT something that is discarded!!!)

The ovary has follicles which will produce an egg. The uterine lining will prepare itself for a fertilized egg to implant to start a pregnancy but if the egg is not fertilized and implanted, the uterine lining sheds.

The unfertilized egg and the uterine lining shedding is what causes a period.

Not every woman has a 28 day cycle either, that's just an average.

Basicly, its when a womans ovary is not fertilized within 28 days, then the body discards this ovary. (thats the period) Then a new one is formed... Until the ovary is fertilized, (pregnant), the cycle continues every 28 days..

its when a chic bleeds from her vagina for like a week once every month.
