What is a jehoveh witness

this morning two men dress in black knock on our door and ask if my parents were in and said they were jehoveh witness ,what is jehoveh witness?what do they do?why do they only dress only in black?and what did they witness?

Jehovah's witnesses are a religious group..Christian...they believe that when Judgement day comes, God will do away with all evil for eternity and 144,000 people will be chosen to live on the earth which will then be a paradise. No more starvation, wars, disease, nothing like that...a perfect world. They don't celebrate any holidays at all except passover, not Christmas, not birthdays, nothing. It is a part of their belief also that they have to go from door to door, and preach what they believe.
Everyone is entitled to their faith, so don't be mean to them,so many people are rude. Yes, they can be persistent, but they truly believe what they are doing is what God wants them to do. Hope this was a good enough answer for you!

Jehoveh witnesses tell you about God.

They're sort of like preachers. They knock on peoples doors and tell them about God etc.

Jehovah's witness are christians who believe that they must live to serve jehovah and spread the word to other people so we can be saved on judgement day. They also don't take part in what the world is doing that's why they don't celebrate any holidays or birthdays. They don't only dress in black they dress up to preach so they look presentable.

Don't be rude to them but at the same time if you don't want to listen to their witness, tell them nicely but 'firmly' that you have no interest. They will still probably come, 'firmly' state it again.
I am jewish and when I tell them that...they never return.
Quite a good thing considering many christian witnesses take it as a challenge and try theur hardest to convert me. Like they get extra points with G-d for helping to lead a jew to christ.
I respect the fact, for what ever reason, they don't try to convert jews.

THEY SAY THEY READ THEIR BIBLE BUT IT IS THE TEACHING THAT MAN GIVES THEM THAT MAKES THEM UNTRUE. I READ MY BIBLE AND JESUS HIMSLF SPOKE ABOUT HEAVEN, HELL, HEALTH AND THE SOUL AND THESE ARE A FEW OF THE THINGS THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN. IT IS ALL MAN MADE DOCTINE AND IT DOES NOT COME CLOSE TO BEING POWERFUL OR TRUE. THIS IS THR PROB, THEY DO NOT SEEK GODS GUIDANCE AND THE SCRIPTURES ARE TWISTED.
