What homemade product should i use to lighten my face?

Asked by galya 10 months ago, 5 answers.

I tried lemon juice for a little while but my skin became sensitive to it. So, can anyone recommend any skin-lightening homemade remedies?

get cotton swabs, and dip them into cold nonfat milk. and basically put it on your face as if it's lotion.. after 10-15 mins, wash it off. my bro did that and he got lighter than me. -_-; not fair.

well for that I would like to suggest you an indian homemade remedy...
a lot of people have wheatish complexion out here so they try this very often...

buy short broken rice that smells great..I dont know what you call it there but since we have a variety of names for all types of rice, we call it aluwa..

Grind it dry and turn the into rough powder.

Get fresh, unboiled milk and mix some amount with the powder..
Apply it on your face and keep it till you fell it's about to dry now!
(Please make sure it's not hard dry)
Next, wash it off by gently scrubbing it on your skin.
You will see the diffrence instantly...and much more effect if you try this thrice in 2weeks..

It works well, provided your skin is not too oily..

And yes! It's not just home remedies..while you go out in the sun, try applying a light sunscreen with atleast an SPF 10..
And to avoid using stronger SPF suncreen like SPF20-25-30, keep fancy umbrellas handy all the time..

While you come back home clean your face...
If you are not used to...A proper CTM (cleansing, toning , moisturizing) gives your skin better help than a virgin skin...

Try if you trust me!

Here are a couple of recipe's for home-made face packs:

Apple and sage - Chop up an apple, put in a blender and turn it on. Add 2 tablespoons of honey and some fresh sage leaves and blend until the mixture is slightly lumpy.

Strawberry and oats - Mash 3 large strawberries with a fork. Mix some dried oats in a food processor, then stir the strawberries and enough single cream to make a paste.

Avocado and lemon - Mash up the avocado with 1 teaspoon each of lemon juice, plain yoghurt and runny honey. Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes before you use it.

Once you have your face pack ready for use - Tie your hair out of the way and smear your face pack all over your face, avoiding the area around your eyes. Pop a couple slices of cucumber or raw potato over your eyes while you've got your mask on. Leave it all for 10-15 minutes, then wash off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

Hope this helps. Have fun. =o)
