What happened to my answer?

Why does my answer disappear and I get 'signed out'?

am signed out...I've signed in again, and the same thing happens.

U might have some net problems... it may not be from the site...

Ah, we do have some periodic cookie issues with IE...sorry if you use firefox instead, they go away...

if you logout then clear cache / cookies, then log back in, you'll see the answer, as IE is pulling up the cached, non logged in page.

Thanks heart55 - I'm sure that's it, not least because when I logged in again now, after a delay of many hours, the answer was there, all bright and shining. And net problems are a recurrent part of my life - not least since I find myself working from wonky dial-up connections in various weird parts of the world. (Hard to understand for those of you with broadband...)
