What happened to halo the movie?!

I heard that they aren't going to make Halo the movie after anouncing its upcoming release. Is this true? Why would they cancel it? It was a huge video game and that had to guarantee some investors some ROI.

It's not cancelled. They were concerned that the budget was going to be too much, so two of the studios dropped out.

If worse comes to worse, then Microsoft will fund it themselves (we hope!)

yea... and also they have been pushing because they trying to fing a very good director who has the same views as bungie.
