Cycling will make you lose weight, improve your lungs and get you fit. It's a great exercise and especially good if you're starting out as slightly overweight. It's pretty easy to get into too, just get on a bike and cycle. Furthermore it's also not as harsh on your joints as something as running.
I think it's great that you want to cycle to school. In no time you should see your energy levels and concentration improve too.

Im a little bit underweight and trying to gain weight, and im thinking about biking every morning before school at about 6 in the morning.
