What do you think of valentines day?

I'm not a fan of it myself, but recently, mostly in school, so many people are going on about it.. I'd be interested to hear from someone who likes it, why they do.

As well, I would like to compare reasons for not liking it.. see if they fit mine.

I think it's an amazing holiday!
Everyone who's in love gets to come close on Valentines day and not have to be judged.
Love is so amazing and an holiday about it just proves it more, it's an fantastic idea.
In my opinion.
It's like the day that all couples can share their love and spread it all around for the world to see.
Sure Valentines day sucks for people who don't have a 'love' but I think there's at least one day for everyone when they stop and think what their dream Valentines day could be like.
On the other hand, some people just don't share any interest in it and think it's a waste of a holiday.
But me in love or not, I think whoever thought of it must have been a very loving person and I'm very grateful they thought of all couples to have this holiday exist.
So yea I do like Valentines day very much!
It just gives me a happy feeling when I see couples smiling and kissing and in love.
It's so exciting to know when people are going to have their lives started and even your own.
So yes I like Valentines day, I think it should be a sweet and romantic holiday for everyone.

I think it's time to get my girlfriend a rose ! I don't really think much of Valentine's Day in terms of what it actually means. I just follow what other people say/ think about it. I think of it as a day where you get the opportunity to show a loved one (or loved ones) how much they mean to you.

I've always hated it up till this year because I never had anyone to spend it with and it seemed like everyone else did. But this year I actually have a boyfriend and the day of Valentines is the exact day of our 3 months together, so it feels really nice and I'm looking forward to spending a sweet day with him.

first, I dont have anybody, so that it why I probably dont like it. but I dont see all they hype in it, if you are in relationship, you should be showin affection EVERYDAY to the one you love and not just one certain day. I think its kinda of a slap in the face to those who isn in a relationship, b/c we dont really get any benefit from it. I know some it gets them down and even more depressed about themselves b/c they do see others in love on the day. I dont see the hype in it, like I said if you truely love someone, then you should be showing the affection all the time, and everyday should be valentines day. there shouldn be a day set aside for it. my view may change once I get someone, but thats how I feel.

really if you like someone or love them, you love them all the time
not just more on one partcular day because other people do
if your single it can be a bit hard, as it was for me
I used to not like it because it felt like everyone else was in love
but now that im not single it can be more fun
you can get your partner, friend, ect a card and pressent to make there day a bit more special, and tell them you love them
