A prison boy came home one day,
To find his love had gone away,
And when he asked the reason why,
With these few words she did reply;
If you had lead an honest life,
I'd gladly be your loving wife,
But as you lead a life of crime,
Prison boy 'do your...

The next day they found him dead,
And by his bed, a letter read;
Dig my grave and dig it deep,
Plant red roses by my feet,
Put two white doves upon my stone,
So I shall never be alone,
All you girls, bare in mind,
That a prison boy is hard to find,
So if you find one love him too,
Because a prison boy would die for you.
